I'm embarrassed to talk to people on the mic in games, what should I do?

I'm a gamer and my voice is really lame when I hear it myself AND I have a lisp. Now sometimes I want to talk when I'm on a server and every clan you want to join requires a mic nowadays but I really feel uncomfortable when I'm talking. I don't have much problems when I'm talking in real life though.
