hierarchy of victorian age?

I know that you can't really call it "hierarchy, but I want to know how the upper Society of the Victorian age in England was ranked. Who is more powerful, a duke or and Earl, or could you pleas order everyone from "the aristocracy" up to the "king". I've tried looking this up, but I couldn't find anything about the victorian age... Thank you!!
